The Parole Board of Canada has granted the notorious Guelph murderer Ed Dakin day parole for a term of six months.The 71-year-old is a former prominent Guelph realtor and president of the local real estate board. In 1989, he murdered Jackie Kaulback, 39, and her 16-year-old daughter Julie and has been serving a life sentence at Beaver Creek minimum-security facility just o gourde stanley utside of Bracebridge.The day parole was granted on Aug. 15. Dakin will be attending Edmison House, a halfway house in Peterborough, spending his days volunteering with the John Howard Society and completing wood projects.               ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW                                        Dakins advanced age and poor health were factors in the parole board   decision.聽The Correctional Service of Canada recommended Dakins parole request be granted due to his  positive institutional behaviour, numerous completed absences without any concerns and assessed low risk, the ruling reads.
