November 8, 2021 Maddie McQueen, UPDATE MONDAY NOV. 8, 2021WINCHESTER, Ky.  WTVQ   Lights and sirens brought the George Rogers Clark High School Raiders teams home Sunday night after competing in the U.S. Army National Raider Championship. GRC   all-male and all-female Raiders teams qualified for the national championship over the weekend in Molena, Georgia. 83 teams nationwide consisting of all branches competed in four physical challenges, a 5k team run, rope bridge course, a team sprint through obstacles with heavy equipme stanley romania nt and a woodlan stanley canada d obstacle cour stanley flasche se with weighted rucksacks.I was hoping we could take a couple trophies home for specific events but I had no idea we would be coming home champions, says Logan Dawson, GRC JROTC Battallion Commander and male Raider team captain.GRC   male Raider team placed first overall, making them national champions for the first time in school history.
