据中华医学会眼科分会发布的《中国青光眼指南（2020年）》显示，
2020年我国青光眼患病人数达2100万，其中致盲人数达567万。

北京中医药大学东方医院眼科副主任医师苏艳表示，

青光眼是一种终身的眼病，及早发现、及早治疗才是关键。

患者覆盖年龄范围广
要了解青光眼，首先需要知道什么是眼内压。

眼内压是指眼球内容物对眼球壁的压力，

就像一个充气气球，按上去会感觉有一定的压力。

至于青光眼，就是指一种以病理性眼压升高，

具有特征性视神经萎缩和视功能损害的最常见致盲眼病。

间断或持续升高的眼内压，给眼球各部分组织和视功能带来损害，应及时治疗。

青光眼可分为原发性青光眼和继发性青光眼。

原发性青光眼一般是双眼发病，一只眼患病，另一只眼也要及时检查。

值得注意的是，从襁褓中的婴儿到年逾古稀的老人均有可能患上青光眼，

而老年人更常见，青光眼的患病率随着年龄增长而增加。
