Sriracha is made from sun-ripened chilies pureed into a smooth paste. We are still endeavoring to resolve this issue that has been caused by several spiraling events, including unexpected crop failure from the spring chili harvest,  the company said on Thursday.The company sent a letter to its vendors in April informing them that orders placed on or after April 19 would not be fulfilled until af stanley flask ter Labor Day. The company also produces a chili garlic sauce and a sambal oelek sauce, which are also impacted by the shortage. SAN DIEGO  KGTV  -- Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after hitting a man and several parked vehicles in the Mountain View area Thursday morning.The incident was reported shortly after 6:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of National Avenue, near 36th Street, according to San Diego police.Details on what led to the crash were not immediately available, but police conf stanley us irmed a man getting into his car was hit by a black Lincoln Navigator SUV.
