The Orillia District Snowmobile Club is urging sledders to steer clear of the Atherley Narrows following a recent death in the waters where Lakes Simcoe and Couchiching converge.Because of the flowing water, because it narrows down in between the two lakes, therersquo always a current there so there is always open water there, club president Rob Love told Simcoe.The OPP underwater search and recovery unit recovered the body of 35-year-old James Tahir of Orillia from Lake Simcoe on the afternoon of Feb. 16. ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW Police had been called to the Atherley Narrows at about 4:30 a.m. in response to a report of voices screaming for help.Police and firefighters were able to rescue one of the stranded men, who was taken to hospital by paramedics. Many Kentucky stud stanley cups ents are finally in their stanley cup classrooms after more than a week off due to staffing shortages and Covid-19.Governor Andy Beshear signed an emergency law to tackle Covid in the classroom adding 10 remote instruction days per school across all of Kentucky.How is this different from non-traditional instruction, or NTI, days Each school district can now use their ten NTI days for snow days and other non-covid virtual learning needs.The ten remote instruction days are for covid specifically. Also, unlike the NTI days, each individual school school opposed to district can now use up to ten days of remote learning for either the entire school, or individual classrooms, grades, or group levels for the rest of this 2021-2022 school year.聽Director of instruction and tech for Barren County Schools Scott Harper said, The new days give us some flexibility that we didnt have under the ten original days that were NTI 8230; We would have to do some planning and some great c stanley botella ommunication for everyone to understand exactly who was going to school and who wasnt if we take advantage of the remote learning days.
